Ned > 70 to Central City Parkway for safety 6 is still unstable

Description

Report from Darien, who was trying to get up the Black Hawk route. National Guard stopped her 3 times for ID. On the third time they gave her directions to get here by sending her up Highway 52. Which is the connector between Lafayette and Longmont. Wasted 90 minutes of her time. And apparently they are so stressed they are yelling at people. Highly recommend keeping a steady voice and explaining that there are NO roads on the eastern side that will get people up here. I think she tried to go up Hwy 6 through Golden but not sure right now. I don't know if that spot is open or closed at this point but if it is closed then the Guard should have been directing people to Central City Highway -not- up towards Boulder. Not all of us are good with maps or directions ... apparently including the people checking IDs ... so be prepared ahead of time if you need extra help getting through.

Nathan Vigil Geoff... I just came up 6 about 20 minutes ago with no problems at all...I went down at about 2 all the way to Lafayette and right back up with not a problem at all.., good luck Darien...

Geoff Baysinger Yeah, Darien just called from Black Hawk, she got through this time. I'm pretty certain it was guards stopping people from going up Hwy 6 who pushed her in the wrong direction instead of saying to drive to 70 and go up the CC pkwy. I'm actually headed out that way in an hour or so.
